Our Belief
Children from birth are competent and capable, active contributors to their own and others’ learning. As Educators we acknowledge young children’s:
- Uniqueness and complexity
- Capacity for self-direction and motivation
- Right to attachments and security as a base for being and becoming
- Multiple relationships
- Abilities to form opinions and their right to express ideas and preferences
- Connection to place
Educators extend children’s learning opportunities through intentional teaching and working with children in a reciprocal relationship where give and take is part of the mutual obligation of being together.
